Basic/Intermediate Stability Ball Exercise (3 CECs)In this 3 hour LIVE course, Teri will guide you into introducing and utilizing the Stability Ball into your Pilates sessions and group classes. The course will begin with a review of the movement and core principles involved in the Pilates Mat exercises and will then progress through the basic Pilates mat series and discuss ways to incorporate the stability ball into each exercise. We will address how they affect/change each exercise and then discuss some other exercises derived from the Reformer, Cadillac and Ladder Barrel and how they can be performed on the stability ball. Foam Roller Pilates Exercise (3 CECs)This is a LIVE 3 hour course on Zoom with Teri Steele. The course will begin with a review of the movement and core principles involved in the Pilates Mat exercises. Teri will then go through the basic mat series and discuss ways to incorporate the foam roller into each exercise. Participants will learn to perform as well as to teach and cue these exercises as well as others derived from Reformer/Cadillac exercises and how they can be performed with foam rollers. Steele Pilates ReForMat Cable Discipline (6 CEC's)The Live course will be scheduled soon. Please message Teri for more information! This 6 hour Continuing Education Workshop will teach instructors how to reimagine a Cadillac/Reformer session as a ReFormat, mat-based discipline, created and presented by Teri Lee Steele. Attaching cables to a sturdy base allows you as the instructor to recreate many exercises done on the Cadillac with the leg or arm springs as well as the cables on the Reformer. When the cables are attached in front of the client, they can be used to aid against gravity during exercises like the Roll Up, Roll Down or Neck Pull and from behind, the resistance for adds load to flexion exercises as well as alters the affect of gravity during leg work. Upon completion of the course, a certificate for 6 credits will be issued. Pre/Postnatal CEC Course (4 CEC'S)In this course taught by Teri Steele, students will learn the physiological changes that accompany pregnancy during each trimester and how that affects the Pilates mat and prop work.
